CTOnews.com April 21, Microsoft today released a KB5025308 update for Win11 for Windows Insider project members of Beta Channel. After installation, the version number has been upgraded to Build 22621.1616.

CTOnews.com comes with the difference between the two versions:

Win11 Build 22621.1616: new features / features are turned off by default.

Win11 Build 22624.1616: new features / features are enabled by default.

It is also worth noting that Microsoft will push the enabler package to the Win11 Build 22623 preview branch and automatically upgrade to Build 22624.

Win11 Build 22624.1616 updates are as follows: [Live Captions] this real-time subtitle extension adds support for Danish, English (Ireland), French (Canada), Korean, and Portuguese (Portuguese) languages.

Win11 Build 22624.1616 fixed the following: [general] under "Settings" > "Windows Update", the "get the latest updates as soon as possible" option takes effect, making it easy for users to install Build 22624 updates through Windows Update as soon as possible.

Fixed a significant increase in explorer.exe process crashes in the previous release.

[input] fixed an issue where virtual keyboards could not map physical keyboards in some scenarios.

Update the TextInput / EnableTouchKeyboardAutoInvokeInDesktopMode MDM policy to "2" to force an outbound virtual keyboard even if a physical keyboard is connected.

[Live captions] fixed an issue that caused Live captions to crash for the first time due to affecting registry data retrieval.

Fixed an issue where language menu icons and labels overlap in Live captions.

Enhance speech recognition language files, improve performance and provide out-of-language filtering to limit incorrect subtitles for non-subtitle languages.

[accessibility] fixed an empty voice access window.

Fixed an issue where voice access crashed after using the command to go to the beginning of the document.

Fixed an issue where the swearing filter was turned off in voice access, but not actually turned off.

Fixed an issue where the narrator could not move to the top and bottom of the page in the Edge browser using the Ctrl + Home and Ctrl + End commands.
