CTOnews.com, April 21 (Xinhua)-- Samsung is expected to launch two new smartwatches in the second half of this year-- the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 folding screens. The upcoming smartwatch is expected to bring improved health tracking and more features.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series will be equipped with a newer Exynos processor, the Exynos W980, which will be more than 10% faster than the Exynos W920 chipset used in the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series, and is expected to be manufactured using Samsung's updated 5nm process, which is expected to extend battery life, SamMobile reported.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 will also be equipped with a larger, higher resolution screen. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will bring back the iconic rotating bezel of the Samsung smartwatch with a thinner frame and a slightly higher capacity battery than its predecessor.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 watches will feature a round OLED touch screen, ECG, GPS, heart rate sensor, health and fitness tracking, sleep tracking and body composition analysis, as well as Wi-Fi, cellular connection, NFC, wireless charging and Wear OS-based One UI Watch system software updates.
