After 13 years in Bellevue, the Bing team moved back to Microsoft's Redmond headquarters.
CTOnews.com, April 21, 2009, Microsoft began renting space in downtown Bellevue, about 7 miles from Redmond, as it struggled to accommodate all new employees on its campus in Redmond. But now, with the completion of new large-scale expansion projects in the campus (just in time for more employees to work in a mixed mode), it is no longer necessary to continue to lease office space, so from now on, the Bing team is moving back to the headquarters campus.
"back in 2009, the Bing team moved from Building 88 in Redmond to the Central Plaza Building in Bellevue, Washington. Thirteen years later, we returned to Redmond, and today is our last day at CCP," Microsoft Michael Schechter said.
Microsoft Bing has recently made a comeback with Bing Chat chatbots powered by ChatGPT technology and is likely to be one of the few teams that Microsoft continues to expand across the industry.
CTOnews.com Note: Bellevue, WA is the fifth largest city in Washington State and the third largest city in Seattle Metropolitan area across Lake Washington (Lake Washington) from Seattle; Redmond is located in King County, Washington, USA, on the eastern edge of the Greater Seattle area. The famous Microsoft and Nintendo USA are headquartered in the city.
