CTOnews.com, April 24 (Xinhua)-- according to information obtained by The Information, a Google spokesman confirmed that the company has transferred the engineering team responsible for making AI chips to Google's cloud computing division, which may make the cloud division more competitive with its larger competitors Microsoft and Amazon Web Services in selling artificial intelligence software to enterprises.

The move is the latest sign that Google is trying to catch up with Microsoft and OpenAI, which successfully launched the ChatGPT chat robot and incorporated it into Microsoft's Bing search engine, which may weaken Google's long-standing dominant position in the search field, the report said.

According to CTOnews.com, Google has also merged its two artificial intelligence research laboratories, DeepMind and Google Brain, to speed up its artificial intelligence work.
