CTOnews.com, April 24, Wenzhou Bay New area was officially established, which is the seventh provincial new area established by the provincial government after Hangzhou Qiantang New area, Huzhou South Taihu New area, Ningbo Qianwan New area, Shaoxing Binhai New area, Jinhua Jinyi New area and Taizhou Bay New area, with a total planning and control area of about 158.48 square kilometers.

Location map of Wenzhou Bay New area Wenzhou Bay New area is an important node at the intersection of the coastal corridor in southeastern China and the second open corridor in the province, and it is a three-dimensional transportation hub node of "sea, land, air and railway" in southern Zhejiang, eastern Fujian, eastern Jiangxi and eastern Jiangxi. It is a strategic location for the urban layout of "one axis, one district" in Wenzhou.

CTOnews.com has officially obtained that Wenzhou Bay New area has 12 high-energy innovation platforms, including Oujiang Lab, Wenzhou Research Institute of National Science, China Eye Valley, and industrial landmark projects such as 5G Innovation Center and Beidou Industrial Base in the Yangtze River Delta, gathering nearly 8000 industrial enterprises, more than 900enterprises and 6 listed enterprises, including 530high-tech enterprises and 2548 provincial technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises.
