CTOnews.com April 27, Intel Chief architect Raja Koduri announced his departure in March this year, the company's GPU division ushered in a new head of Deepak Patil.

▲ Deepak PatilKoduri, a senior employee of AMD and Apple, joined Intel five years ago in charge of accelerated computing systems and graphics (AXG) businesses, including what we know as sharp graphics cards. In March of this year, Koduri announced that he had left and founded AI startups.

Raja Koduri, a former chief architect of ▲, is the new Deepak Patil, who was previously the chief technology officer of Intel's data center and artificial intelligence. We can look forward to more planning for the graphics card business after he takes office.

Intel will provide competitive accelerated computing products, and Deepak Patil will serve as CVP and general manager of the accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics (AXG) group.

Deepak recently assumed the position of Chief Technology and Strategy Officer of DCAI. He has held senior engineering leadership positions in the high-tech industry, including as a founding member of Microsoft Azure and leading Dell's APEX as a service business, he understands the important role of software and open ecosystems in supporting application developers and service providers, bringing innovative solutions to market on a large scale.

His extensive experience in systems, software and services builds on AXG's deep chip and graphics architecture and engineering expertise to accelerate Intel's growth in the AI, HPC and client graphics markets.

In addition, Jeff McVeigh will re-lead Super Compute Group while helping Deepak take up the new role.
