CTOnews.com April 28, Intel announced in the first quarter of 2023 earnings meeting that it is accelerating the production of the 14th generation Meteor Lake Core processor, which is scheduled to be launched in the second half of this year.

Meteor Lake will be mass-produced using Intel 4 process nodes, with transistor density (transistor-density) and performance per watt (performance / Watt) comparable to TSMC's N5 and N4 series nodes.

The 14th generation Core Meteor Lake CPU will adopt a new small chip (Tile) architecture, with three main Tile: IO Tile, SOC Tile and Compute Tile.

Compute Tile includes CPU Tile and GFX Tile. CPU Tile will use a new hybrid core design to provide higher performance with lower power consumption, and GPU is also a new architecture.

Intel also said in the press release that it was promoting Intel 3, Intel 20A and Intel 18A process nodes.

CTOnews.com previously reported that the top Meteor Lake processor is expected to be configured with 6P+16E, which has only two series of processors, Core i3 and Core i5, but not Core i7 and Core i9.
