CTOnews.com May 1, the latest data released by SEGA show that the global sales of "Sonic: unknown Border" exceeded 3.2 million copies, which is the combined sales of all platforms.

"Sonic: the unknown Border" will be released on November 8, 2022 and will be available on PS5, PS4, XSX | S, Xbox One, Switch and PC gaming platforms. The Steam price is 229 yuan.

Judging from Sega's results in fiscal year 2023, Sega's annual revenue reached 389.6 billion yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 19.831 billion yuan) and operating profit was 46.7 billion yen (currently about 2.377 billion yuan), an increase compared with fiscal year 22.

Sega said that this year's strong performance came from "Sonic unknown Border", "Goddess anecdote 5 Royal Edition" (duplicate version) and "World Plan colorful stage!" Feat. The strong performance of "early Voice Future", in which "Sonic unknown Border" sales exceeded 3.2 million, "Goddess anecdote 5 Royal version" (copy) sales exceeded 1.7 million copies.

In other words, the Sonic hedgehog series is still Sega's strongest IP, with total sales of 8.15 million units in the last fiscal year, basically equal to other IP sales combined.
