NordPass reports 200 most commonly used passwords: "password" reaches the top, 80% can be cracked in 1 second
CTOnews.com, May 3, in preparation for World password Day (World Password Day) on May 4, NordPass released its latest report after evaluating more than 3TB data, confirming the 200 most commonly used passwords in 30 countries and regions.
"despite growing awareness of cyber security, old habits are hard to break," the report said. Research shows that people still use weak passwords to protect their accounts. In the top 10, eight passwords can be cracked in less than a second. The most commonly used password is "password".
