First, AMD compared the R7 7840U of the 8-core 16-thread highest 5.1GHz with the i7-1360P of Intel's 4 large core + 8 small core highest 5.0GHz. The data show that the R7 7840U leads the i7-1360P in five areas, including productivity, media coding, and content creation.

In terms of game performance, the 780m core on the R7 7840U is fully ahead of the i7-1360p 96EU, and the lead is 139% under the low picture quality of the "Cyberpunk 2077" 1080p.

AMD also compared the R7 7840U with Apple's latest M2 processor. There is little difference between the two processors in web browsing, image editing, 3D rendering, etc., but the R7 7840U has a lead of more than 70% in multitasking and PassMark 10 running points.

AMD has not officially announced when the device with the R7 7840U will be available. It is expected that the R7 7840U will be mainly used in lightweight notebooks and handsets.
