CTOnews.com May 3 news, AMD today announced on the official website 7040U series processors, including R7 7840U and other four models, the highest 8-core CPU + 12CU kernel specifications.

R7 7840U:8C16T 5.1GHz + 12CU 2.7GHz

R5 7640U:6C12T 4.9 GHz + 8CU 2.6GHz

R5 7540U:6C12T 4.9 GHz + 4CU 2.5GHz

R3 7440U:4C8T 4.7GHz + 4CU 2.5GHz

In terms of parameters, R7 7840U is basically the same as R7 7840HS, but the highest frequency of R57640U is lower than that of R5 7640HS. The CPU part of R5 7540U was the same as that of R57640U, but the nuclear appearance was R3 7440U level. The R3 7440U becomes the latest four-core steel gun of AMD with a frequency up to 4.7GHz.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, AMD has now confirmed that devices powered by the Ruilong 7040HS series of processors will be available within weeks. Products with Ruilong 7040U series processors may come to market a little later. A few days ago, AYANEO announced that its R7 7840U handset will be released in May and will be available in mid-June.
