CTOnews.com, May 4 (Xinhua)-- Google is improving Google TV to make applications smaller and faster. Back in February, Google announced the update to make it easier to find content on Google TV, and additional improvements will help free up space and speed up system performance.

According to Google blog, App Hibernation's new feature will help Google TV automatically force apps to hibernate, which will begin when the app has not been used for more than 30 days; this update applies to Android S and updated devices, which optimizes the system's storage space when the app goes into hibernation. In addition, the Google TV community page announced that Android App Bundles will be used to reduce the size of applications by 25% and can be applied only to collections of applications that are needed.

Google has also reduced the time it takes to wake up Google TV, improved the response time between TV and remote button presses, and reduced the time it takes to load animation on reboot.

Google has announced that these new features have been launched, and more improvements are expected by the end of 2023, aimed at enhancing the overall user experience of Google TV.
