Apple reported second-quarter revenue of $94.8 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 655.068 billion yuan) and quarterly net profit of $24.1 billion (currently about 166.531 billion yuan), or $1.52 per diluted share, compared with $97.3 billion (currently about 6723.43 billion yuan) in the same period last year, and quarterly net profit of $25 billion, or $1.52 per diluted share.

Of this total, Apple's services revenue reached another record high of $20.9 billion (currently about 144.419 billion yuan), while iPhone revenue of $51.3 billion (currently about 354.483 billion yuan) also broke the previous quarterly sales record, but Mac revenue was $7.2 billion (currently about 497.52 billion yuan), down from $104 billion in the same period last year.

The gross profit margin for the quarter was 44.3%, compared with 43.7% for the same period last year. Apple's board also approved an additional $90 billion for share buybacks and announced an increase in the dividend from 23 cents a share to 24 cents a share. The dividend will be paid on May 18 to shareholders of record as of May 15.

As in the past three years, Apple also did not issue guidance for the quarter ended in June.
