IOS 16.5 has been in the Beta testing phase since late March. This version is a relatively minor software update compared to iOS 17, which Apple will announce at next month's WWDC.
Less than a week ago, Apple released the iOS 16.5 Beta 4 beta and public beta (version number 20F5059a), which also indicates that the RC version is just around the corner.
So far, two noteworthy features and changes have been found, including the sports tag in Apple's news app (Apple News) and the ability to start screen recording using Siri.
Sports label:
In iOS 16.5, Apple's news app adds a sports tag that gives users easy access to news, scores and schedules about their favorite teams and leagues. Previously, this information was placed on the Today tab. But as Apple continues to strengthen its sports content, sports news is now becoming more prominent.
Siri screencap:
IOS 16.5 adds a small but convenient feature, which is to call Siri to start screen recording. Users can say, "Hey Siri, start screencap," and Siri will use video and audio to capture iPhone's screen. To stop recording, you can say "Hey Siri, stop screencap". Of course, users can still start the screen recording function through the Control Center.
Apple is expected to officially launch the iOS 17 operating system at the WWDC conference on June 10 this year. It is reported that some of the new features and features of iOS 17 will include major changes in the control center, mobile island support for richer interactions, richer information screen settings, and significantly improved search experience.
