Meta CEO Zuckerberg competed in jujitsu for the first time, winning gold and silver medals
CTOnews.com, May 9 (Xinhua) Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, took part in his first Brazilian jujitsu competition last weekend and won gold and silver medals in two groups. At Woodside High School near Silicon Valley, California, on Saturday, Zuckerberg posted several photos on Facebook and Instagram showing him fighting two different opponents in the jujitsu match, and the referee can also be seen declaring Zuckerberg winning after two games.
Zuckerberg began to learn integrated combat during the COVID-19 epidemic, and he soon became interested in the sport. In an interview with podcast host Joe Rogan last August, he said the "primitive" nature of the sport helped him improve his energy and concentration at work. He called the sport the "perfect choice". "exercising for an hour or two, or wrestling with friends or training with different people, is like I'm ready to solve any problems at work that day," he said. " Zuckerberg was trained by Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu's Dave Camarillo, who has brought out several UFC champions. Since he started learning jujitsu, Zuckerberg has also persuaded several friends to go to the gym.
CTOnews.com notes that Zuckerberg is not the only tech mogul who likes to exercise. Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed on Logan's 2021 show that he also practices jujitsu at a California gym.
It is worth mentioning that last Thursday, the White House held a meeting on "the Frontier of artificial Intelligence Innovation" and invited CEO from Microsoft, Google, OpenAI and other well-known AI research companies to attend the meeting, but Zuckerberg, who recently increased investment in AI, was not invited.
