According to CTOnews.com news on May 10, Changan Automobile announced today that it produced and sold KuaiBao in April 2023, and its own brand new energy sold 22496 vehicles in April, up 111.77% from January to April, an increase of 102.08% over the same period last year.

From January to April, Changan automobile sales were 789788, up 2.94% from the same period last year; independent brand sales were 671940, up 7.99% from the same period last year; independent passenger car sales were 508275, up 19.20% from last year; and independent brand overseas sales were 76922, up 16.71% from the same period last year.

According to previous reports by CTOnews.com, in 2022, Changan Automobile achieved operating income of 121.253 billion yuan, up 15.32 percent from the same period last year; net profit from its parent was 7.798 billion yuan, up 119.52 percent from the same period last year; and basic earnings per share was 0.8 yuan.

At the 2022 performance presentation, Zhu Huarong, chairman of Changan Automobile, said that by 2025, Changan Chinese brands will launch 27 new energy products, including 6 products such as Deep Blue Automobile S7, 4 products such as Avita ET2, 5 products such as Zhi Dian iDD new compact cars, 5 products such as SUV, 5 products including Changan Qiyuan series A07 and 7 products such as Kacheng Smart Logistics and electric pickup trucks.

On May 9, Geely Holdings signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Changan Automobile. According to the agreement, the two sides will carry out strategic cooperation around new energy, intelligence, new energy power, overseas expansion, travel and other industrial ecology.
