CTOnews.com, May 10, according to a research report by CIRP, the frequency of changing phones among Apple iPhone users has decreased recently.

From 2019 to 2021, 34% of Apple users used their iPhone for three years or more. However, this trend seems to have suddenly reversed in 2022, but the latest data from March this year show that most Apple users still maintain a replacement cycle of 2-3 years or more. March 2021 was the peak of the average useful life of iPhone, but it returned to that level in March 2023.

CIRP believes that the large number of replacements in 2022 may be due to demand for iPhone purchases caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, government stimulus measures, and "reduced travel and entertainment spending to help consumers afford newer models".

At the same time, Apple has set a new record in terms of the average price of the iPhone. According to another previous report released by CIRP, iPhone reached an average selling price of nearly $1000 last quarter (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 6920 yuan). This result is surprising because the average selling price is usually higher during the holiday season and the month in which the new machine is released.
