According to The Korea Economic Daily, Apple opened three Apple Store stores in Seoul between 2022 and 2023, and recently launched the Apple Pay service, which makes Samsung feel "bullied to the door."
In an effort to curb Apple's expansion in South Korea, Samsung plans to open flagship stores in Gangnam district of Seoul and near Apple's new Apple Store store, with basements and five floors above ground.
CTOnews.com learned from the report that the flagship store will display devices such as mobile phones, televisions and household appliances owned by Samsung Electronics, and introduce a lifestyle featuring connections between products.
