CTOnews.com May 12, General Fujitsu released a wearable air conditioner. This product is a small backpack cooling device that can effectively lower the wearer's body temperature. The device is specially designed for commuters in hot weather.

The principle of Fujitsu wearable air conditioner is slightly different from that of the market air conditioner, which uses water cooling to reduce the surrounding air temperature. Its working principle is that the heat exchanger transfers the heat from the user's body to the radiator, and the circulating pump transfers the cooled water to the contact surface between the backpack and the wearer. Fujitsu claims that after using it at 35 degrees Celsius for 2 hours, the user's back temperature can still be kept below 28 degrees Celsius.

The backpack is designed by sporting goods manufacturer Mizuno, with two pads each to distribute the load on the shoulders and reduce user fatigue. The backpack is made of lightweight Lambird fabric and weighs about 2.4kg, including the cooling system.

Currently, Fujitsu wearable air conditioners have been ordered on the crowdfunding site Makuake, limited to 500 units. It sells for 39500 yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2042 yuan).
