Guoxuan Hi-Tech becomes the exclusive battery supplier of Volkswagen SSP electric vehicle platform

CTOnews.com May 14 news, battery manufacturer Guoxuan Gaoke in the acceptance of the agency research said that the company is currently the only fixed-point supplier of Volkswagen SSP platform, its standard cell products will be supporting the Volkswagen SSP platform.

Photo source: SSP platform is the next generation integration platform of existing MEB and PPE platforms of Volkswagen Group, which can cover 80% of Volkswagen's models. The models developed based on SSP platform will adopt standard system cells. The main engine factory adopts unified verification method for batteries, and there is no secondary verification. Therefore, at present, the battery cells for electric vehicles on Volkswagen SSP platform are only supplied by Guoxuan High-tech.

Founded in May 2006, Guoxuan High-tech is headquartered in Xinzhan High-tech Zone, Hefei City, with multiple production bases. It is a battery manufacturer focusing on energy storage and application. CTOnews.com previously reported that Volkswagen China has become a controlling shareholder of Guoxuan High-tech in 2021 to further promote cooperation on battery products.
