Cut 29 jobs, CDPR reorganized the "wizard" multi-player derived "Sirius" game project

CTOnews.com May 16 news, after CD Projekt RED official confirmed that its game studio The Molasses Flood is restructuring "wizard" derivative game "Sirius" project, and plans to lay off 29 people.

The Molasses Flood Game Studio, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, was acquired by CD Projekt RED in 2021.

The studio is currently responsible for producing a multiplayer derivative game called "Project Sirius" of the Wizard.

CD Projekt RED sent a statement to GameSpot, which CTOnews.com translated as follows:

As a result of the restructuring, 21 American employees and 8 Polish employees have to part ways with us.

Wizard developer CDPR has announced that they have successfully completed the basic framework of the new wizard, codenamed Project Sirius (Project Sirius).

This new film will continue the classic elements of the Wizards series and bring players into a world full of fantasy and magic. Based on the success of the previous work, CDPR decided to further expand the open world of the game, giving players more freedom and adventure space. Players will once again play the role of professional wizards and embark on a journey full of challenges and fate.
