CTOnews.com May 16 news, according to the gigabyte roadmap released by the source HXL, the next-generation data center platforms of AMD, Nvidia and Intel consume between 500W and 1000W.

Modern data centers rely on CPU and GPU to deal with various network loads, which generate a lot of heat during operation. Applications in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) stimulate manufacturers to launch higher-performance products, and power consumption naturally increases.

According to the roadmap released by gigabyte, the next generation of servers launched by Intel and AMD in 2024-2025 will consume 500W-600W. CTOnews.com Note: the SP5 slot of AMD supports up to 700W power consumption, which foreign science and technology media tomshardware thinks is a bit conservative.

In terms of data center GPU, Nvidia SXM5 GPU consumes 700W; there is no power consumption data for AMD Instinct MI300 graphics cards for the time being.

The slide information also shows that the GPU power consumption of the PCIe form will increase to that of the 400W-500W, and that of the Nvidia Grace Hopper Superchip graphics card will increase to that of the 600W-1000W.
