According to CTOnews.com on May 16, Tencent Cloud today announced a price reduction for a number of core cloud products, with a maximum reduction of 40% for some product lines. The price reduction policy will take effect on June 1.

Specifically, in this price reduction plan, Tencent Cloud will further increase the discount for the preferential duration of CVM instances in some regions, and the price reduction will be up to 40%.

In terms of cloud network, Tencent Cloud reduces the LCU fee of load balancer CLB by 18% and the standard NAT gateway by 15% to benefit cloud users at a lower price.

In terms of databases, Tencent Cloud database TDSQL-C serverless has released a new payment model for resource packs. Compared with the specification, the annual and monthly price of prepaid products can be reduced by up to 25%. The feature that serverless is billed by actual usage can help users reduce costs by up to 80%.

In terms of cloud security, Tencent CVM Security basic Edition will be available free of charge to small and medium-sized enterprises throughout the network, as well as asset management and one-click physical examination capabilities, so that enterprise customers can achieve "zero cost" to enhance their security capabilities.

CTOnews.com has previously reported that last month Aliyun also announced the biggest price cut in history, cutting the price of core products by 15 to 50 per cent across the board and storage products by as much as 50 per cent.
