Ross Young: Apple iPhone 15 series screens begin mass production in June
CTOnews.com, May 17 (Xinhua)-- according to a recent paid tweet by Ross Young, CEO of screen supply chain consulting firm DSCC, Apple began requiring suppliers to mass-produce screens for the iPhone 15 series as early as June this year.
Young said Apple has high expectations for all four iPhone 15 models, and expects some models to sell better.
Young also tweeted that all iPhone 15 models have a smart island feature. The screen size of the iPhone 15 Pro model is the same as that of the iPhone 14 Pro, but will further narrow the frame. CTOnews.com Note: functions such as ProMotion (the highest variable refresh rate for 120Hz) are still exclusive to Pro models.
In addition, according to Unknownz21 tweets, the iPhone 16 Pro (the D93 in Apple's internal documents) will have a 6.3inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max (D94) will have a 6.9inch display.
