Win11 preview Google Chrome browser title bar has Mica effect enabled by default

CTOnews.com, May 17, Google recently released a preview version of Chrome browser on Canary channel. The biggest change is that it fits the style of Win11 system and incorporates Mica design language into the tab bar.

In the latest preview version of Canary Channel, the Mica design language is enabled by default. If you don't like this frosted design, you can add the "- disable-features=Windows11MicaTitlebar" option in the properties column in the Chrome shortcut.

CTOnews.com Note: Mica is an opaque dynamic material that contains themes and desktop wallpaper for drawing the background of long-term windows such as applications and settings.

Mica is specifically designed to optimize the performance of applications, and it can create visualization by taking only one sample of desktop wallpaper.

Mica Alt is a variant of Mica with stronger user desktop background color shading. Mica Alt can be applied to the background of an application to provide a deeper visual hierarchy than Mica, especially when creating applications with tabbed title bars.
