CTOnews.com, May 17, Microsoft today launched offline conferencing for desktop and Mac users. Microsoft Teams users can create calendar invitations for events such as personal appointments, offline face-to-face meetings, and lunch breaks.

This feature is similar to the "offline" function that already exists in Outlook, where users do not need to participate in scheduled video conferences and can register as offline.

CTOnews.com note: users can schedule offline meetings just like traditional meetings, but can turn off an extra "online" switch when creating calendar events.

When you do so, Teams does not automatically generate online meeting links. These offline Teams meetings will have no chat threads or other Teams online meeting projects.
