The loss of Steam players in "Hongxia Island" is serious, and the peak number of online users in 24 hours is less than 400.

CTOnews.com, May 17 (Xinhua) Red Xia Island is a blockbuster game by Microsoft and Xbox, created by well-known developer Arkane Studios, which has produced excellent works such as Shame, Predator and cycle of death. However, this time, "Red Xia Island" lost its debut, making it the lowest-rated game in the company's history.

After a lot of bad reviews from players, the number of players of the game on the Steam platform also declined rapidly. According to SteamDB, the game's Steam 24-hour online population peaked at 376 on May 17, with 168 current online players.

There are many reasons why "Hongxia Island" has been snubbed by players. First of all, the PC version continues the trend of poor optimization of PC transplantation in 2023, resulting in problems such as stutter, mentally retarded enemy AI and various BUG. Second, the game does not perform well on the console side, and even on the latest generation of Xbox hosts, it can only run at the frame rate of 30FPS. Third, the game is included in Xbox Game Pass's subscription service, which means players can try the game on the service without paying full price. Considering the problems of the game, the sales of "Red Sauvignon Island" on Steam will not be too high.

Apart from the loss of players, Hongxia Island is the 16th worst rated game on Steam.

According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, Microsoft knew "Red Sauvignon Island" would be a disaster for a long time, but decided to release the game as planned. However, players have begun to lose interest in the game. Arkane Studios has started to develop their next game, hoping that they can use a new work to re-prove their strength, and continue the glory of Arkane Studios.
