● Sequential write performance improved by 58%

● 4KB random read IOPS up to 62%

● 4KB random write IOPS increased by more than 30 times when QD was 128; 4KB random write IOPS increased by more than 10 times when QD was 1

● 4KB random write durability (RDWPD) improved by more than 10 times

In addition, Micron has introduced a new XTR SSD. Micron XTR SSDs are extremely durable and provide the reliable cache necessary for write-intensive workloads.

● Random DWPD up to 35 times per day and sequential DWPD up to 60 times. Durability level far exceeds traditional SSD

● Up to 35% random DWPD durability at 20% cost compared to SCM SSD

● Power consumption reduction up to 44%

● 20% increase in usable capacity

CTOnews.com learned from Micron's official website that Micron 6500 ION SSD has a capacity of 30.72TB and is available in U.3 (15mm) and E1.L (9.5mm) specifications. The Micron XTR is available in U.3 (15 mm) and 960GB and 1.92 TB capacity options.
