CTOnews.com Microsoft today updated its PowerPoint Accessibility for Windows and macOS platforms in anticipation of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), based on feedback from users over the past 18 months.

CTOnews.com includes the following improvements to PowerPoint:

When the user opens the Alt Text Pane and Reading Order Pane, the accessibility ribbon appears.

In the function bar, turn on the "Inspect without Color" button to help colorblind people read related content.

The ribbon now enables you to tag images contained in your presentation, helping visually impaired people understand picture information.

The ribbon also introduces new Insert Header Row and Insert Header Column commands that speed up adding header rows or columns to tables in one simple step.

On Windows, users upgrade to version 2304 - Build 16327.10000 and later; on macOS, users upgrade to version 16.72 - Build 23040900 and later, and these accessibility features are available.
