CTOnews.com May 20 news, China Unicom held the third 5G + Industrial Internet (Tianjin) Summit Forum at the 7th World Intelligent Conference, established the industry's first 5G RedCap industry alliance and released a series of core mold terminals.

CTOnews.com learned from China Unicom that the industry alliance was led by China Unicom and voluntarily formed by Tianjin Company of China Huadian Group Co., Ltd., CNOOC Engineering, Huawei, Ziguang Zhanrui and other enterprises. It is an industry organization integrating union, professionalism and industry. The alliance has six special committees, including technology research, industry application and industry promotion. Facing the major scientific and technological development and people's livelihood needs of the country, the mature technologies, products and services of 5G RedCap will be integrated into industrial supply and demand through enterprise cooperation to jointly build advanced technology base and full-stack product system.

China Unicom also released the industry's first 5G RedCap OpenCPU module and three industry terminals. OpenCPU module can release chip-level computing power, and the application that should be deployed in the terminal main MCU can be run through OpenCPU, further reducing the development difficulty of the whole machine.

Yanfei RedCap CPE, industrial gateway and power gateway support data acquisition and data transmission, protocol analysis, etc., have 5G native capabilities such as 5G LAN, slicing and low latency, and are equipped with 5G private network, DMP, CMP and other features.

China Unicom has fully launched the action plan of "5G RedCap Light Link Everything 2025," accelerated the incubation and construction of 17 modules and industry terminals including industrial gateway, mining gateway, camera and vehicle-mounted terminal, and planned to complete the commercial landing of 150 industry customer projects by 2025.
