Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens for the delivery of clues from rain and snow and Daniel Wu in South China! CTOnews.com, May 20 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- Ampere has been developing and producing ARM-based server chips for large cloud service providers with altra and altra max chips over the past few years.

Ampere recently announced its own design of a new ARM chip, AmpereOne, with 192 cores.

The Altra Max that Ampere shipped in 2021 is based on the Arm Neoverse N1 architecture, while the new processors are based on the latest Arm architecture, use chiplet layouts, and are mass-produced by 5nm and 7nm processes.

AmpereOne is compatible with the ARMv8.6 + instruction set, so software developers do not have to take any additional steps to support it. Ampere has also made special optimizations according to the needs of customers.

Altra Max has 128 cores and 1MB secondary cache, while AmpereOne has 192 cores and 2MB secondary cache. CTOnews.com also learned from the report that Ampere also offers a number of 136,144,160 and 172 core models with the highest clock rate of 3GHz.
