CTOnews.com May 20 news, the Xfce team recently updated the screenshot tool xfce4-screenshooter to version 1.10.4, allowing users to save screenshots in AVIF and JPEG XL lossless image formats.
The Xfce screenshot tool previously allowed users to save screenshots in PNG, JPG, BMP and WebP image formats. Users can update to version 1.10.4 through the software library in the GNU / Linux distribution to add support for AVIF and JXL image formats.
CTOnews.com note: JPEG XL support is only valid if the libjxl library is installed on your GNU / Linux distribution. On the other hand, the AVIF (AV1 Image format) format requires the libavif library to be installed on your system. The GDK Pixbuf Loader plug-in supports these two libraries.
