CTOnews.com May 22, Zhuhai Guanyu Battery said today that Zhejiang Guanyu, a subsidiary of the company, plans to invest in power battery production projects in Deyang City, Sichuan Province, with a total investment of no more than 10.3 billion yuan in the first phase.

▲ source: Guan Yu Guanyu said that the power battery production project planned in Deyang will be built in two phases. The first phase covers an area of 727 mu and the second phase covers an area of 633 mu. Among them, the total investment in the first phase will not exceed 10.3 billion yuan, and Guanyu will strive to start construction within half a year, and all will be completed and put into production within 42 months after construction, and the annual production capacity will reach 25GWh.

Founded in 2007, Zhuhai Guanyu is one of the major suppliers of consumer polymer soft-package lithium-ion batteries in the world. CTOnews.com saw in the Guanyu announcement that the first phase of the project plans to build ten power and energy storage battery production lines. It is understood that for the whole of 2022, Guanyu achieved 10.974 billion yuan in operating income, an increase of 6.14 percent over the same period last year, and the net profit returned to its mother was 91.01 million yuan. The 10.3 billion yuan investment in the battery factory is undoubtedly a big bet for Guanyu.
