CTOnews.com, May 23 (Xinhua)-- Microsoft announced more new features of its Bing search and Bing chat service at the Build 2023 developer Conference today. The biggest highlight is that Bing search will soon be directly integrated into OpenAI's ChatGPT chatbot.

Microsoft is OpenAI's main financial and development partner in the ChatGPT project, and Microsoft has been using OpenAI technology since the launch of the Bing chat robot earlier this year.

"ChatGPT will now have a world-class search engine built in to provide more timely and up-to-date answers and get information from the web," Microsoft said in a blog post. "now, ChatGPT's answers can be based on search and web data and include references so that you can learn more-all of which can be done directly in a chat."

ChatGPT Plus subscribers will first get the new Bing search function, but it will also be available to free users in the near future through a plug-in that will add Bing search to the chatbot.

Speaking of plug-ins, Microsoft announced in early May that Bing chat will support third-party plug-ins. At Build 2023 today, the company confirmed that developers will be able to develop plug-ins that can run on several different platforms, including Bing chat, ChatGPT, Dynamics 365Copilot, Microsoft 365Copilot and Windows Copilot.

Microsoft also announced a new Bing chat plug-in partner. The attached list of CTOnews.com is as follows:
