Microsoft launched Dev Box cloud workstation in July: three configurations to speed up developer debugging code
CTOnews.com May 24 news, Microsoft invited some developers in August 2022, testing Dev Box cloud workstation; at today's Build 2023 developer conference, Microsoft announced that Dev Box will be officially launched in July this year.
Microsoft launched the cloud workstation project at last year's Build developer conference, providing developers with supporting applications and services through pre-configured cloud PCs that meet development needs and launch various testing projects.
Microsoft says Dev Box was built to save developers time switching between projects and eliminate hours (and sometimes days) wasted installing and configuring the tools needed on different devices.
Dev Box is built on Windows 365 (another Microsoft cloud PC service) and allows developers to access it from any modern Web browser, supporting any IDE, SDK, or tool already running on Windows.
Microsoft said that after the Dev Box service is launched, developers can choose different SKUs according to their needs. CTOnews.com attaches the following configuration:
8-core virtual CPU (vCPU)/ 32GB memory
