CTOnews.com, May 24, according to the latest report released by market research firm Straits Research, 98% of new cars are compatible with Apple's CarPlay and Google's Android Auto;80% new car owners strongly want the new car to install the above mobile-based infotainment system.

In terms of satisfaction with the in-car infotainment system, Tesla ranked first, with 86% of the owners interviewed, while BMW's iDrive ranked second with 80%.

The report points out that the introduction of infotainment systems has led to an increase in the number of deaths from distracted driving. The number of deaths from such causes in the United States in 2022 was 3142, an increase of 22 percent over the same period last year.

Overall, the U. S. automotive infotainment market is expected to grow by 6.26% due to increased demand for seamless integration of connectivity and advanced vehicle technology.

The report points out that the global automotive infotainment system market will be $29 billion in 2021 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 204.74 billion yuan), with a compound annual growth rate of 8.8% during the estimated period (2022-2030), and is expected to reach $56 billion in 2030 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 395.36 billion yuan).
