CTOnews.com, May 24 (Xinhua)-- Google said today that it has added some new features to its desktop Chrome web browser, allowing users to customize its appearance.

Google's blog post points out:

"you can test different colors, themes, and settings in real time by opening a new tab in Chrome and clicking the" Custom Chrome "icon in the lower right corner; a new sidebar will open with available customization features. Here, you can try different features and easily see how they appear on the new tab as you make changes. The new sidebar will remember your custom edits."

In terms of browser background and theme, Google says there are hundreds of images to choose from in the Chrome sidebar, as well as many different categories, such as "scenery" and "sea view".

In addition, there are selected theme collections from different artists, and if users don't want to bother browsing all of these collections, the sidebar allows users to automatically make theme changes by using the Daily Refresh toggle.

You can also change the color on the Chrome using the options contained in the new sidebar, Google says:

"first select a theme, and then watch your browser adjust its color to match it. If the color is not your style, you can always choose a different color on the overview page to make it just right."
