CTOnews.com, May 25, AMD today launched the adrenaline WHQL driver version 23.5.1, mainly for the game "Lord of the Rings: Gollum" debut support, and made some important software fixes.

When playing upstream in the Radeon RX 7900 series GPU, 4K performance is up to 16% better than the previous software driver version 23.4.3 RS-577.

When playing upstream in the Radeon RX 6000 series GPU, 4K performance is up to 12% better than the previous software driver version 23.4.3 RS-578.

Fix content:

During video playback using Leonardo da Vinci DaVinci Resolve Studio, an application crash or driver timeout may be observed.

Temporary display corruption may occur when switching video and game windows on some AMD video card products, such as Radeon RX 6700 XT.

When you first started the Last Survivor Part1 game, the memory usage during shader compilation was higher than expected.

The intermittent system crashed while playing call of Duty 19: modern Warfare II in some AMD graphics products, such as the Radeon RX 580s.

Known issues:

High-altitude idle power is sometimes observed when using specific high-resolution and high refresh rate displays on the Radeon RX 7000 series GPU.

Video stutter or performance degradation may be observed when using some extended display configurations for game and video playback on the Radeon RX 7000 Series GPU.

The performance of some virtual reality games or applications on the Radeon RX 7000 Series GPU may be lower than expected.

When running "RuneScape" on some AMD graphics products, such as Radeon RX 5700 XT, you may intermittently observe application crashes.
