CTOnews.com, May 26 (Xinhua)-- Dronamics, the world's first cargo drone airline, successfully completed the first flight of its flagship "Black Swan" at Barchik Airport in Bulgaria yesterday.

Dronamics said the success of the flight test validates the company's licensed cargo drone technology for commercial flights, which will be launched later this year.

"We have been working on this flight since the day we first conceived the Black Swan," said Konstantin Rangelov, co-founder and chief technology officer of Dronamics, the official website of ▲ Touyuan Dronamics. "Today, we have made history and proudly proved the effectiveness of our drone technology."

Svilen Rangelov, another co-founder and chief executive of Dronamics, said: "We have made great efforts to prove that our vision is feasible, with strong conviction and strong positive motivation. We are extremely excited that we can now focus on the next step, the launch of business operations."

CTOnews.com learned from Dronamics officials that in this flight test, the Black Swan was piloted remotely by two commercial airline pilots from the ground control station.

Dronamics claims that "this successful flight test validates its licensed cargo drone technology on commercial flights in Europe" and will begin providing "fast and cost-effective" solutions for e-commerce, pharmaceutical, spare parts and perishables industries later this year.
