Intel's 14th-generation desktop CPU will focus on upgrading Raptor Lake to increase clock frequency and power consumption and support faster caching.

Intel plans to launch the Arrow Lake-S series in the fourth quarter of 2024, the first product with LGA 1851 slots, including 8 P cores based on Lion Cove design and 32 E cores based on Skymont architecture.

According to MLID, Intel Arrow Lake-S desktop CPU has 30-40% better single-threaded performance than Raptor Lake.

CTOnews.com notes according to the image information: at the same power consumption, the multithreading performance of CPU on the 6x8 configuration is improved by 40%, so the overall desktop performance improvement may be in the range of 50% + compared with the fastest 8x16 processor.
