CTOnews.com, June 4 (Xinhua)-- Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of US social media giant Meta, has taken a keen interest in Brazilian jujitsu in recent years and won two medals in a Brazilian jujitsu championship in May.

According to the New York Times, Zuckerberg was strangled by his opponent during the competition, and the referee heard him snore and thought he was in a coma and called the game off. However, Zuckerberg and his coach later denied the claim, saying he only moaned and did not lose consciousness. A spokesman for Meta also confirmed this to the media Insider.

Zuckerberg's love for Brazilian jujitsu stems from his penchant for mixed combat. He once said on a podcast that he likes to watch UFC (Ultimate fighting Championship) because the sport is primitive. Last year, he also released a video of himself fighting a mixed combat player, which attracted the admiration of many UFC stars.

CTOnews.com noted that while Zuckerberg devoted himself to Brazilian jujitsu, Meta is also facing some difficulties and challenges. The company plans to cut about 21000 jobs and require most employees to work at least three days a week, which runs counter to the telecommuting culture previously advocated. In addition, Zuckerberg wants the company to be more agile and proactive in communicating messages. And the meta-universe project, the highlight of Meta, has also been questioned and suspected.
