China Iron Tower: provide electricity exchange and charging service for nearly a million takeout riders and couriers every day

According to CTOnews.com news on June 4, the 2023 China International Information and Communications Expo opened today. Zhang Zhiyong, chairman of China Tower, said at the opening ceremony that over the past nine years, the site size of China Tower has increased from 1.4 million to more than 2.1 million, and the sharing rate of new sites has increased from 14 percent to 83 percent.

Relying on the distributed power network, battery energy storage system and professional operation and maintenance capacity throughout urban and rural areas, China Tower provides the society with comprehensive utilization services of new energy, such as power exchange, charging, power backup, power preservation and echelon battery utilization, and provides light electric vehicle charging services for nearly 1 million takeout riders, couriers and more than 10 million residents every day.

CTOnews.com learned from the official website that China's towers were launched in July 2014. By the end of 2020, the total number of tower sites used by telecom companies has increased by 1.3 times, and the sharing level of new towers has increased significantly from 14.3% to 80%, which is equivalent to a reduction of 840,000 towers and saving 150.5 billion of industry investment.
