399 yuan, Apple put on the shelf 70W USB-C power adapter: charge from 0% to 50% for about 30 minutes
CTOnews.com, June 6 (Xinhua)-- after the opening speech of WWDC 2023, Apple China Mall launched a 70W USB-C power adapter at the same time as the new 15-inch MacBook Air, priced at 399 yuan.
Apple's official introduction to the adapter is as follows:
This 70W USB-C power adapter allows you to recharge quickly and efficiently, whether at home, in the office, or while traveling. It is compatible with most USB-C devices and charging lines.
Apple recommends using this power adapter with a 13-inch or 15-inch MacBook Air with a M2 chip, a 13-inch MacBook Pro (2016 and later models), or a 14-inch MacBook Pro.
Using this power adapter to charge the MacBook Air model with M2 chip can take full advantage of fast charging, which can be recharged from 0% to 50% in only about 30 minutes.
Apple was tested in April and May 2023 using a pilot 15-inch MacBook Air system with an Apple M2 chip (integrated 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU), 8GB RAM and 256GB solid-state drives, with the Apple 70W USB-C power adapter (model A2743) and the USB-C-to-MagSafe 3 cable (model A2363). The fast charging test uses all kinds of MacBook Air models with complete discharge. Charging time may vary depending on settings and environmental factors; actual results may vary.
Charging lines need to be purchased separately.
When CTOnews.com inquired about the new accessories, he also found a USB-C charger (1 meter) marked "new", which sells for 145 yuan.
Apple's official description of the product is as follows:
This 1m charging wire is braided and has USB-C connectors at both ends, which can be used for charging, as well as for synchronous or data transmission between USB-C devices. Use this USB-C charger with a compatible USB-C power adapter to take advantage of its fast charging advantage and easily charge your device through an electrical outlet. The USB-C power adapter needs to be purchased separately.
