In November 2020, with the advent of the OriginOS mobile operating system, vivo released the smart vehicle networking brand Jovi InCar and launched the Jovi smart vehicle application. After more than 2 years of development, Jovi   InCar has built a multi-protocol compatibility scheme, including supporting Baidu CarLife protocol, Yilian protocol and ICCOA protocol.

However, in recent years, due to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and other brands of models gradually do not support Baidu CarLife and other agreements, many vivo mobile phone users can not normally use Jovi InCar. The on-board conversion box product that is about to be launched is to solve this problem.

It is understood that the hardware partner of vivo is a car networking system research and development company. A person close to the vivo partner revealed that the vivo vehicle conversion box product can convert the Carplay protocol into the ICCOA protocol, and since the fourth quarter of last year, multiple versions have been carried out within vivo and its partners.

The person familiar with the matter also said that the Android phone connecting the car phone through the Carplay agreement is after all a grey area, so the vivo car conversion box product will then be sold through the partner's sales channels.
