CTOnews.com June 7, in the opening speech of WWDC 2023, Apple announced the integration of a new SharePlay service for CarPlay in the introduction of iOS 17, making it easier for other passengers in the car to share playlists.

Apple will introduce Collaborative Playlists in its Apple Music app, allowing passengers to add their favorite songs to shared playlists and directly control music playback on the car's central console on their devices.

CTOnews.com Note: Apple says the feature does not require Apple Music subscriptions and will be launched with an update later this year, but no official launch date has been announced.
