NexDock XL accessory release: 15.6in laptop mode, can be connected to the phone to run App
CTOnews.com, June 7 (Xinhua)-- the NexDock XL looks like a flip laptop with a 15.6-inch display, but it's actually a smartphone accessory, not a stand-alone device: when connected to the phone, users can run applications on a large touchscreen display and use a full-size keyboard and touchpad.
The NexDock XL has a 15.6inch 1920 x 1080 resolution 120Hz IPS LCD touchscreen, supports up to 300N brightness, 360 degree hinges allow for tablet or standing mode, built-in 57Wh battery, supports 15W reverse wireless charging: when using NexDock XL, place the compatible phone above the keyboard to charge.
The NexDock XL supports both wired and wireless inputs and features mini HDMI 1.4a and USB 3.1Type-C ports (USB ports support DisplayPort Alt mode), a second USB-C port for charging, a USB 3.0mm Type-A port for data, a 3.5mm audio Jack and a microSDXC card reader.
The NexDock XL also has four 2W speakers, a 40W USB-C charger and a laptop base measuring 12.6in x 9.4in x 0.65in (320mm x 240mm x 16.6mm) and weighing 4.2lb (1.91kg).
NexDock XL sells for $349 during the pre-order period (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB 2485) and customers pay a deposit of $100. the balance will be paid a few weeks before the equipment is shipped, which is expected to be shipped in the fourth quarter of 2023.
