CTOnews.com, June 7, according to the latest statistics released by security company Skybox, a total of 25096 vulnerabilities were found in 2022, an increase of 25% year-on-year compared with 20196 in 2021 and the largest increase since 2017.

Of the vulnerabilities reported in 2022, 80% were "medium" and "high" at risk, and 16% were "critical" vulnerabilities.

Ran Abramson, threat intelligence analyst at the agency, said: "2022 is a record year for vulnerabilities, as attackers target the most sensitive assets and try to expand their destructive power, their attacks have increased in breadth and depth, and companies and organizations need to change their minds from passive defense to active containment, which is more important than ever before.
