CTOnews.com, June 7 (Xinhua)-- Apple's first AR, the Vision Pro, has been unveiled at a price of $3499, which is much more expensive than other similar products on sale, so how much does it cost?

Vision Pro's bill of materials (BOM) has been published on the Internet, which shows that Taiwan manufacturers excel in the field of optics, with Dali Liguang, Yang Mingguang, and Jade Jingguang on the list, while mainland manufacturers gain advantages in modules, mechanism parts, batteries, and OEM assembly, while American, Japanese, and Korean manufacturers take the lead in displays, advanced chips, and other fields.

The inventory shows that the material cost of Vision Pro is about US $1509 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB 10744). Of these, the two internal screens account for US $700, the most expensive components supplied by Sony, followed by US $130 for assembly, which is exclusively owned by mainland manufacturer Lixun Precision, and US $120 for M2 processors, which are manufactured by TSMC.

In terms of quantity, the BOM list shows that there are about six Vision Pro suppliers in Taiwan, seven in mainland China, three in Korean and Japanese, and two in the United States excluding Apple.

Of course, the BOM list only shows the material cost of Vision Pro, and the design, R & D and other expenses are not included, perhaps the latter is the big head.
