WF-1000XM5 has appeared on the Wireless Power Alliance (Wireless Power Consortium) website, the device has also appeared on the FCC certification website, and its design was exposed several months ago. The latest certification confirms that the upcoming headphones will support Qi wireless charging with a power of up to 2W, similar to its previous generation, and revealed that the device is Y2963.
According to previous revelations, the flagship headset is expected to have a design similar to the WF-1000XM4 model. However, each headset weighs only 5.9g, which is lighter than the XM4's 7.3g. In addition, WF-1000XM5 can provide up to 24 hours of audio playback time when used with the charging box. It only takes 3 minutes to recharge and it can be played for about 1 hour. However, more details about the headset are still unclear, but it is believed that the Sony WF-1000XM5 will be released later this month or possibly in August 2023.
