ESA celebrates the 20th anniversary of Mars Express, releasing new full-body photos of Mars

CTOnews.com, June 13 (Xinhua)-- to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the operation of Mars Express, the European Space Agency (ESA) has released a full-body photo of Mars, publicly showing detailed information about Mars.

This "full-body photo" was taken with a high-resolution stereoscopic camera (HRSC) on Mars Express, showing richer details and colors than before.

This "full-body photo" also gives us a more comprehensive understanding of the red planet, where we can see huge gray-black basalts on the sand dunes, giving the overall impression of "scarred".

ESA also reviewed the journey for the 20th anniversary of Mars Express, which was initially planned to run for two years, while the latest plan was extended to the end of 2026. ESA reports are attached to CTOnews.com, which can be visited by interested users.
